- As of this moment, there are just shy of 4500 people registered
- It took only 5 minutes and 40 seconds for 1000 people to register
- There are registrants from 34 different countries
- The Radio iTG SHOUTcast topped out at 450 listeners
- At one point, we had 1334 people on our forums simultaneously
- The official QuakeCon IRC channel topped out at almost 700 people
Every year QuakeCon gets bigger and more exciting. And last night's registration shows that this year will be no exception.
We also need to take moment to confirm that, yes, the BYOC has been filled. All spots were snatched up in 3 hours and 38 minutes. There are already a number of people on the waiting list. But if you haven't signed up yet and want to participate in the BYOC, don't be discouraged! Every year a healthy number of the people on the waiting list DO make it into the BYOC. There are always cancellations and no-shows.
And even if you don't make it in, you won't regret your trip to QuakeCon. It's like no other party in the world!"
